Self-guided hiking offers you the freedom to explore nature on your own – without a guide, but with a perfectly planned route. Unlike guided tours, with a self-guided hike, you can set your own pace, take spontaneous breaks, and fully focus on your personal experience. You will receive a customized tour from us, including a detailed route description, GPS data, and all the important information you need for your hike.

This type of hiking allows for complete flexibility – you decide when and how you start, experiencing your adventure exactly as you envision it. Whether you’re planning a day hike, an overnight trip, or a multi-day trek, our self-guided tours are tailored to your needs and abilities.

• What does "Self-Guided" mean?
  Answer: "Self-Guided" means you complete the tour independently. We plan your hike and provide you with all the necessary information, such as GPS tracks and detailed tour descriptions. You decide when to start and at what pace to hike.

• Is the booking of huts for overnight stays organized?
  Answer: No, we only offer planning and recommendations for suitable accommodations. Booking huts or other accommodations is your responsibility. The cost of accommodations and meals is not included in the price.
  
  

• What is included?
  Answer: Each booked tour includes personalized tour planning, a detailed route description, GPS tracks for your device, and recommendations for sightseeing and accommodations. You’ll also receive a small handbook in PDF format with general tips, such as packing lists, mountain safety, and bad weather plans.
  
  

• How long does it take to receive my tour description?
  Answer: Processing time varies depending on the complexity of the tour, but you usually receive your description within 5 business days after payment. We also offer an express upgrade for delivery within 48 hours of payment.
  
  

• Can I book a tour if I'm inexperienced?
  Answer: Yes, we adjust the tours based on your experience level. Please specify your hiking experience in the request so we can tailor the tour to your abilities.
  
  

• Are there special tours for families or dog owners?
  Answer: Yes, we offer specially designed tours for families and dog owners. These tours are child- and dog-friendly and include suitable routes and advice.
  
  

• How much does a personalized tour cost?
  Answer: A day tour costs €70, an overnighter (with one overnight stay) €100, and multi-day tours start from €90 per day.
  
  

• What if I have to cancel my tour?
  Answer: Since your tour is self-guided, you can reschedule it anytime. Just plan a new date that suits you. Don’t forget to cancel any reservations you’ve made.
  
  

• What equipment do I need for the hike?
  Answer: Equipment depends on the tour. We provide recommendations in the tour description. In general, you should bring sturdy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, and enough food and water.
  
  

• How do I receive the tour description and GPS track?
  Answer: After payment, you’ll receive the tour description in PDF format and the GPS track in GPX format via email. You can load the files directly onto your GPS device or smartphone. If you don’t have an app for the files, our handbook provides a detailed guide.
  
  

• Can I change my tour after it’s been created?
  Answer: Minor adjustments can be made after discussion. Major changes may incur additional costs due to the extra planning involved.
